HEC has announced a good opportunity for Srilankan and Afghan Students. This Scholarship is known as the Allama Iqbal Scholarship For Srilankan and Afghan Students.

Under this scholarship program, 1000 Scholarships for Sri Lankan students, and 4500 scholarships are issued for Afghan Students for the next five years of studies in Pakistan.

The Government of Pakistan is giving scholarships to 4500 Afghan students known as Allama Iqbal Scholarship For Afghan Students. They can study Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture, Management, and Computer Science.

Eligibility Criteria | Fully Funded Scholarship For Afghan Students

Eligibility Criteria For Undergraduate

To qualify for the Undergraduate Scholarship:

1. Educational Background:
   • Completion of 12 years of education.
2. Age Requirement:
   • Applicants must be between 17 and 23 years old before the application closing date.
3. Academic Performance:
   • General Subjects: A minimum of 60% marks, calculated using the IBCC Pakistan equivalency formula.
   • Medical & Engineering Subjects: A minimum of 65% marks.

Eligibility Criteria For MS/M.Phil

For MS/M. Phil Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Age Limit:
   • The maximum age limit is 35 years at the closing date of the applications.
2. Educational Qualification:
   • Completion of 16 years of education is Compulsory.
3. Academic Performance:
   • A minimum of 2.5 CGPA or its equivalent out of 4.0 is required in the Bachelor’s/Master’s degree 16 years of education.

Eligibility Criteria For ​PhD

To be eligible for the PhD Scholarship, candidates should fulfill the following criteria:

1. Age Limit:
   • Non-faculty members: Maximum age of 35 years at the time of application closing.
   • Faculty members: Maximum age of 40 years.
2. Educational Qualification:
   • Completion of 18 years of education is required.
3. Academic Performance:
   • A minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 is necessary for the MS/MPhil degree.

How To Apply For Fully Funded Scholarship For Afghan Students 2023

Here is a guide for applying to the Pak Afghan Scholarship:

Step 1: Create Your Account

• Visit pakafghan.hec.gov.pk
• Complete the sign-up with your First Name, Last Name, Tazkira Number, and email.
• Ensure your Tazkira is in digits, such as 4210181729227.
• Set a robust password (minimum 8 characters, including special characters, like Testing@123).
• Provide a valid email for future communication.

Step 2: Verification

• Check your email for the verification code.
• Copy the code and paste it where required.

Step 3: Account Confirmation

• After entering the correct code, your account is successfully registered.
• Log in using your registered Tazkira.

Last Date To Apply For Afghan Students Scholarship

The deadline for submitting the online application form is November 30, 2024. Please note that hard-copy applications will not be accepted. Make sure to complete and submit your application online before the specified date.

Importance Of Afghan Students Scholarship

Here are the Importance Of Afghan Students Scholarship:

Scholarship Criteria:

• Scholarships are given based on how well students have done in their studies.

Agreement with the Pakistan Government:

• Students who get the scholarship will promise to finish their education and go back to Afghanistan after studying in Pakistan.

Selection Process:

• They choose students based on their grades, a test by HEC, and an interview.

Previous Scholarships:

• If you already got a scholarship from HEC or the Pakistan government, you can’t apply.

Qualification Requirement:

• Students need to have finished their studies before the closing date to apply.

Foreign Qualifications:

• If you study outside Pakistan, you’ll need a certificate from IBCC Pakistan/HEC Pakistan.

Exclusions:

• This scholarship doesn’t cover MS/PhD in Clinical Medical Sciences.

PhD Admission Requirement:

• For a PhD, you need to have studied the same subject in your Master’s.

Identification for Exams:

• You need your Original Passport/Electronic Tazkira to take exams.

Application Process:

• Apply online; they won’t take applications on paper.

Candidates must provide an Equivalence Certificate from IBCC and HEC after being awarded the Allama Iqbal Scholarship.

How To Calculate Formula GCE A Level Grade Pdf

How to Calculate Your Percentage:

• Get Pak Equivalent Marks:
  • Refer to the table above to find the Pak Equivalent Marks for your grades.
• Add These Marks:
  • Add the Pak Equivalent Marks for all your grades.
• Divide by the Number of Subjects:
  • Divide the total marks by the number of subjects you passed.
• Example Calculation:
  • For instance, if you have three grades: A, B, and C.
  • Pak Equivalent Marks: 60 + 90 + 67
  • Total: 60 + 90 + 67 = 217
  • Divide by the number of subjects (three): 217/3 = 72.33
• Your Percentage Marks:
  • In this example, your percentage marks will be 72.33%.

Merit Criteria

Merit Criteria Breakdown:

1. HEC Scholarship Test:
   • Contributes 50% to the total merit.
2. Academic Achievements:
   • Contribute 30% to the total merit.
3. Interview:
   • Contributes 20% to the total merit.

Total Merit Percentage:

• The sum of the percentages from the HEC Scholarship Test, Academic Achievements, and Interview should equal 100%.
